9/11
I am just curious, did you fly your flag today?
I feel today is such an important day for American's. Not only did so many people loose their life on this date due to inconceivable violence, but today is the day that America came together and reclaimed their pride, patriotism and love of country because of that violence.
So, what has happened since then? Where is our respect for those who have died on 9/11 due to terrorists? One of the easiest ways to show it is by flying your flag today. I was highly disappointed with my neighborhood. I only saw two houses with flags up. There may have been a few more but I did not drive through the entire neighborhood, but for the most part I did not see any other people showing their respect for our fallen Americans and for America in general.
My heart aches for the families who have suffered such a horrific loss, that I can not even imagine their pain. Please know that I have been thinking of them all day. We showed our respect by flying our flag in their honor.
So, I ask you, did you fly your flag today?

I did not fly a flag today, but that's because I don't own one! I don't even know where to buy one around here. Maybe your neighbors are like me and don't have one???

Now your family knows what to buy you! Walmart has them.
YES, we did fly our flag today. We won't forget.
YES...we did fly our flag.
We will never forget.
My heart aches still.
Ok, I don't own one either... I definitely thought about all those people that lost their lives though! That was one of the most horrific days I can remember. I cried for days and days watching the news. When I was growing up, a fund raiser we did for school was to put out flags out on the holidays such as 911, Memorial Day etc. We would put flags out at 5:30 in the morning at the homes of the people who paid for paid for the service.
