Slacker and Lent
I have really been slacking here in blogging world, at least with Xanga. I am sorry for all those who just can't wait to read what I post, but it is all due to my addiction to Face Book. I have been finding so many old friends, it has been a blast. Oh well, at least I have the time right now to keep up with both of these sites, unlike many of my friends who are major slackers with their blogs...I am not mentioning names, but I know they still read this site, so they know who they are!
Today is the start of Lent. I was going to give up my computer time and limit it to getting on once a day, but I can't do it...I just can't because then I would turn to food rather than the computer when I was bored or procrastinating and let's face it, I am big enough! So I have chosen to give up my bad eating habits, eat only good snacks etc. Maybe that will help me with my weight loss, that is virtually nonexistent right now!.
I have also decided to go and buy a woman's devotional book today and read it each day. I need to bring some more spirituality into my life so I thought by reading a devotional each day and reflecting on it, that would be a good way to start.
Not much else is going on. I actually have to go now and prepare to visit the dreaded Dentist. It is for a cleaning, but I have had a tooth pain for quite sometime, and although I mentioned it before to the doctor, they never found any problems so maybe today....I would like them to just remove the tooth that is bugging me weather it is cracked or not. It is way in the back and came in at an angle so it does not do anything for me anyway...so we will see what the Dentist says. Wish me luck for no cavities!
What are those of you who are giving something up for lent planning to give up or do for this Lenten season?

Good luck at the dentist. I hope he can do something about that tooth that is hurting.
I can understand about your time being spent on facebook. I just recently got on it myself & there is a whole nother world of people out there! lol...
Hmm, wonder who you could be referring to-but at least I have an excuse! My life is chaos these days:)
Even though I'm not Catholic I usually try to fast something during Lent but it hasn't always turned out so great in the past. I am kind of doing the same thing as you this year and am trying my best to eat better and not snack on junk even when I am on the go. I figure since I am so busy anyways if I choose to eat good things then maybe I will lose a few pounds without having to excercise much!
) I could only wish, at least!!!
I will eat all the bad snacks for you while you cannot. It's the least I can do for a friend.
