Hope everyone had a happy Valentine's day. Bob and I went out on Friday night. We had dinner at chick-fil-a and then we went and saw Mall Cop. I know not to romantic, but we were with out child and enjoyed being together. Mall Cop is definitely a renter so save your money and rent it when it comes out on DVD.
Saturday we had a nice day together. In the morning Bob made us pancakes and then we had some valentine gifts. Jake got a remote control train, I got a massage gift certificate and a stepping stone that Jake made. I told Bob not to go spend a lot of money but he just does not listen well...that is okay. Bob got a gift card to Lowe's but I used our debit card points to get it. I also made him a german coffee cake called apelkucken. My grandmother passed the recipe to my mother and then I got it. There are very few measurements and some missing ingredients and the directions are very hard to follow, but by golly I did it and Bob was so happy. He loves that coffee cake. It is a lot of work and I have never made it before so it was a challenge. I am glad I made it for him but I hope he does not expect it to often! HA!
We went out to lunch with the Strables at Famous Dave's it was good, but so slow. With kids a slow restaurant is not a good restaurant to be at. But they were good over all.
We watched the movie Nights in Rodanthe with Richard Gere and Diana Lane. It was a nice love story, but I would not say it was a great one. It did not move me, but it was alright.
Today we had church this morning and now we are hanging out at the house. It is cold outside so staying home is a good plan.
Enjoy the three day weekend!
