  • The Calm Before the Storm...
That's right, all is calm here (inside the house and out) but a storm is beginning to brew and we should be getting a good amount of rain along with some strong/severe storms.  I am okay with that as long as we are safe.  We certainly need the rain. Last rainfall was in October!  It is so dry here.  So here is hoping that we get a little rain tonight.  It is definitely windy so something must be blowing in.

Bob and Jake are napping right now so it is so nice and quiet in the house.  I love when they both are napping.  Bob has to
because of working so late at night.  I don't mind because this quiet time is my time.

This week for some reason Jake decided to pee on the playground school at his mother's day out program.  When I asked him why he did that he said that there wasn't a bathroom out there for him to use.  He knows where the bathroom is at school, and has been going there for a few years now so there is not excuse.  My kid is not that nasty little boy who does those things...so I think it wasn't really Jake, it couldn't have been!

The next day at his preschool program Jake was being blamed for things out on the playground.  Two little boys were being mean bullies to him.  Jake did not do a thing and his teacher knew Jake was innocent of all charges.  Jake was oblivious of it all.  I asked him if they were being mean to him and he said "Oh no, mom we were all just playing."  Sometimes I worry that he is the one who is going to be bullied in school because he really is a sweet child and does not get upset (to often) when others are bothering him.  He is way to easy going sometimes.  I wish I could just be with him to hold his hand and defend him from all those mean bullies that he will meet through out his childhood.

Last but not least I have to let you all know what an awesome husband I have. This morning I was going to go shopping after church,  Bob did not come,  so I asked him if he would either clean the oven or our bathroom.  When I came home he had done both Just another reason why he is a keeper!

Hope you all have a terrific week.

  • that was sweet of your hubby    Where are you guys at in Texas??  its supposed to be in the 70's here all week... I dont think we are getting any rain though.   Im enjoying the Spring like weather.

I worry about my 4.5 yr old too.   He is very passive, and is'nt very aggressive whatsoever... sometimes I wish he was a little more 'bold'.   Im already dreading him starting kindergarten.

  • ryc.. we are in the Beaumont area:wave: .. about an hour from Houston. (and it *is raining here too.. not has bad as what you guys are getting)

  • WOW. he is a keeper..lol, we have had rain for two days now,not that im complaining, its just actually decent outside and no one can do anything because of the rain.Glad things are going good for you.

  • Jake is so laid back... I guess you could ask Bob what he did b/c his personality and Jake's seem to be a lot alike!  That does make me sad though... the thought that someone could be being mean and him not taking up for himself.  It's one thing for a bossy 4 year old girl to tell you what to do, but another for someone to be being MEAN! :)
